Cleveland Browns: 5 coaches who should replace Hue Jackson

If the Cleveland Browns actually fired head coach Hue Jackson, these five coaches should be high on the list of replacements.

1-31 does not cut it in anything. Whether you are a sales person, a student taking an exam, or a football coach. In all three cases, those people failed at what they were doing. For the Cleveland Browns, enough is enough yet Hue Jackson still gets to keep his job.

That salesman would have at best been demoted but probably fired while that student’s GPA took a critical hit. It is not rocket science to know that winning just one game in two seasons is horrible.

The process Cleveland took when they hired him was and still is extensive. The Browns were not going to win overnight but no one envisioned a 1-31 record, including a winless 2017 season.

For some fans, the feeling heading into the 2017 season would be seeing say four wins. If that is not your number okay, but it is not far off.

Everyone deserves a share of the blame from Jackson, Sashi Brown, as well as the Haslams. The Haslams are supposed to set the standards but they don’t know what they are doing and the fans deserve better.

I have a loss for words as to why Jackson is still the head coach of the Browns. He will be lucky to keep his role for all of 2018.

Never say never in terms of a firing later on this offseason, but I doubt that happens.

Keep in mind the Browns’ track record with coaches and the (potential) lack of options. If the Browns actually fired Jackson (and in an ideal world they would have made it official by now), these five coaches should be considered as his replacement. Since it won’t happen though, the following would be strictly hypothetical.
