LeBron James: What his all-star team’s roster may look like
By Ryan Rosko
LeBron James has had a challenging season so far with the Cleveland Cavaliers. While his team hasn’t met expectations, hopefully, he is at least successful in drafting his own roster for the all-star game.
This season, the Cleveland Cavaliers have two of their own players voted as all-stars: forward LeBron James, who received the most votes and is a captain and power forward/center Kevin Love.
The 2018 NBA All-Star game will on February 18 in the Staples Center, which is home to the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers.
With the all-star starters and reserves now known, the options on how rosters could be created are endless. The other captain is Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry.
NBA.com posted the all-star players that will be picked by either James or Curry.
HoopHype’s Alex Kennedy explained how early the captains can pick their teammates:
With those details in mind, along with the options who could join James’ team and being the competitor he is, here’s how the Cavs’ star’s roster could look like:

James could start with forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, forward Kevin Durant, center DeMarcus Cousins, and point guard Kyrie Irving. Meanwhile, Curry could start alongside PF/C Anthony Davis, guard James Harden, shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, and center Joel Embiid.
Coming off the bench for Team LeBron could be Love, guard Russell Westbrook, C Karl-Anthony Towns, guard Victor Oladipo, PF/C LaMarcus Aldridge, point guard John Wall, and shooting guard Klay Thompson.
Curry’s team would then be guard Bradley Beal, C Kristaps Porzingis, point guard Kyle Lowry, G/F Jimmy Butler, PF/C Al Horford, point guard Damian Lillard, and PF Draymond Green.
There’s not one right approach to picking from some of the best players the NBA has to offer. Yes, the players want to win but the game is also meant to be fun for both those participating and the fans watching around the world.
LeBron’s team would have a great balance of athleticism, match up problems, and storylines headlined by Irving being on James’ roster.

However the rosters are finalized will sure to be interesting and entertaining! After all, all-star games are certainly not known for their defense.
