Tyrell Crosby, OT, Oregon

ESPN Cleveland analyst Tony Grossi actually mocked Tyrell Crosby to the Browns early in the second round early in his mock draft process. I wasn’t crazy about the pick then, but if Crosby falls later the second (Cleveland owns the last pick of the second round), or if the team lands back in the third via trade, the Oregon lineman would be highly desirable.

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein projects Crosby being picked in the second or third round, while Walter Football lists him as a third- or fourth-round selection.

It’s unlikely, but if Crosby’s available in the fourth round, the Browns should jump at the chance to add someone who could be a future left tackle.

In his final season with the Ducks, Crosby allowed just seven pressures, according to PFF.

Speaking of PFF, the analytics-oriented site tapped Crosby for the Bills with the 65th overall pick in their latest mock draft. To do this , Buffalo would use the selection the Browns shipped to them for Tyrod Taylor.

Grossi might’ve been a little too aggressive in drafting Crosby early in the second round, but the third round could be something to watch. Cleveland has nine picks. GM John Dorsey isn’t going end the draft with 12 players.

What’s to stop the Browns from trading up into the third round to take someone like Crosby?
