6. Paul Warfield, WR

Paul Warfield dazzled fans at Ohio State, and then brought his game north as the 11th pick of the 1964 NFL Draft.

Cleveland got instantaneous production from Warfield, who caught 52 passes for 920 yards en route to earning a Pro Bowl nod.

Most importantly, he was a big factor in the Browns winning the 1964 NFL Championship over the Baltimore Colts. That title remains the last championship the Browns have won.

Despite being one of the Browns’ most popular players, Warfield was traded to the Miami Dolphins for the third pick in the 1970 draft. Cleveland used the pick on quarterback Mike Phipps, who is not on this list.

Warfield’s star continued to shine as he was the leading receiver on the 1972 Miami Dolphins squad that went undefeated.

Warfield was an eight-time Pro Bowler who was also named first-team, all-pro six different times. He was named to the NFL’s All-Decade team for the 1970s and he was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1983, his first year of eligibility.
