Trae Young, PG, Oklahoma

For the first half of the college season, Trae Young was the hottest thing going.

Young’s an ideal pick because he helps the Cavaliers whether LeBron decides to stay or go.

He averaged 27.5 points per game in lone season at Oklahoma, showing a proficiency to create his own shot.

But Young also dished out 8.7 assists, so the opportunity is there for him to create for others.

Young shot 42 percent from field in college, but just 36 percent from 3-point range. Ideally, he’d improve upon that number as a pro.

ESPN’s Jonathan Givony wrote:

"“Young plays a huge position of need for this squad, which has cycled through more than a half-dozen guard options over the course of the season.”"

In ESPN’s latest mock, which slotted teams by records, Young was mocked to the Cavs.
