A look at what the Cleveland Indians roster may look like in 2023 and whether the Tribe will continue to field a competitive team five years from now.

The Cleveland Indians are rolling right now, enjoying their most consistent stretch of winning since the Tribe rolled over the competition during the mid-to-late 90s.

Just like then, the Tribe plays in the worst division in baseball at a time when Indians are loaded with the talent.

But will things stay continue to trend upward after the familiar names of the present move on for different destinations filled with greener pastures?

The Indians rotation is its bread and butter, but Corey Kluber will be a free agent in 2022. Carlos Carrasco and Trevor Bauer will likely pitch his last season for the Tribe in 2020.

There’s also the lingering question of what the future holds for Francisco Lindor. He reportedly already reportedly turned down a $100 million extension. If the Indians can’t lock him down this offseason, the front office probably needs to look at plan that ends with Lindor being dealt.

The Tribe can’t go through the same sage the Baltimore Orioles are going through with Manny Machado.

Five years is an eternity in any sport, but here’s how the Tribe’s roster may look in 2023.
