Cleveland Browns: 5 most winnable games in 2018
By Ryan Rosko
Week 3 vs the New York Jets
Are we going to see Sam Darnold face the Browns? Maybe, but as of now, we are going to see former Browns quarterback Josh McCown.
The Jets, who picked third in April’s draft has more going for them on defense with the signing of Trumaine Johnson. He joined a defense led by new Leonard Williams, Darron Lee, and Jamal Adams.
New York is a rebuilding team and it will take some time before they get back to winning more often. Their signings of former Browns Terrelle Pryor and Isaiah Crowell, in theory, could help them but it won’t be enough for them to defeat Cleveland.
Pryor is actually their best option at wide receiver, which says all anyone needs to know about their receiving corps. Meanwhile, Crowell is going to have a long day trying to get past Cleveland’s defensive line.
Cleveland knows better than anyone how inconsistent he is. Luckily, Cleveland has moved on from him. They do not need a running back who is known for dancing behind the offensive line and failing to decide to run through a specific hole in a timely manner.

On the opposite end, whether it is J.C. Tretter, Kevin Zeitler, or Joel Bitonio, as long as they do their job and block Williams, the running game should have a good game collectively. New York’s talent simply does not compare to Cleveland’s. If there is one game that could be marked in pen or marker already with a W, this is it.
