In Cavs trade rumors, there’s more talk about Kevin Love, in addition to rookie Collin Sexton making his Summer League debut.

1. First thing first. The Kevin Love  rumors. This guy’s next team will be speculated upon until the day he’s finally dealt.

If you believe GM Koby Altman, that won’t happen this season as the Cavs’ top basketball evaluator gave his first public statements since LeBron James chose the Lakers in free agency.

"“Kevin is an All-Star and you don’t get better by moving Kevin,” Altman said."

This is what amounts to GM speak. What’s Altman supposed to say? Love’s a Cav until he’s not, so you better talk him up. Plus it doesn’t hurt to build him up if you’re trying to build up his trade value.

This jives with what ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said on WKNR 850-AM. Windy said the Cavs’ veterans were told they should expect to return.

There’s no secret as to what I’d do with Love. Play him, make him the focal point of the offense and then move him.
