NFL fans are not going to want to miss former Cleveland Browns left tackle Joe Thomas‘ speech when he becomes a hall of famer.

All NFL hall of fame speeches are special and earned. There are specific players who can truly take their speech to another level, and in large part that is due to their respective personality.  When Joe Thomas becomes the next member of the Cleveland Browns to enter, that will be the case.

Thomas has to wait five years before becoming eligible to make his way to Canton, Ohio. That said, there is no doubt he will eventually become a first ballot hall of famer.

Thomas was not one for drama. Far from it. Instead, he focused on the task at hand throughout his tenure in Cleveland. Thomas was never a “me” guy. Instead, he wanted to discuss the team as a whole and how they could move forward.

Thomas did begin to have a more relaxed approach the last couple of seasons but especially in 2017, when it came to the media and other aspects that were part of his job. Outside of his social media popularity, Thomas is also part of the increasingly popular podcast “The Thomahawk Show” with former Browns wideout Andrew Hawkins.

When Thomas tore his triceps last season, that, unfortunately, led him to decide to call it a career. While healing, more of his personality was seen as he discussed the kickoff weather, would interview teammates before and after the injury which then got posted on social media, and became more vocal about Cleveland general.

Thomas was the third pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. From the get-go and for his first 10 seasons, he was named to the Pro Bowl before finishing with an incredible 10,363 consecutive snaps played.

Despite all the losing he endured, Thomas did not leave. He could have but chose not to do that. Instead, he embraced Cleveland and adopted the city while simultaneously the fans adopted him as one of their own.

Now envisioning of what could be in regard to his speech, his fishing trip when he was drafted certainly has to be mentioned.  Following that, discussing how loyal Browns fans are, how he endured losing as much as he did, including never making it to the playoffs should be at least mentioned.

“The Thomahawk Show”, the nearly two dozen quarterbacks he protected along with the numerous regimes running the show, he played for and so many other similar topics are also understandable topics of discussion.

The stories he says on his podcast are bound to be only a preview of what will eventually be said in a future August night. With the way he tells stories combined with his personality and ability to relate to everyone in different ways, Browns fans, NFL fans in general, former teammates, and the organization will be able to connect to Thomas and appreciate what he did even more.
