Cleveland Cavaliers: 3 players looking to prove something in 2018
Billy Preston
There is not much known about Billy Preston. He hasn’t played in an organized game in a very long time and never faced college competition.
Preston faced controversy while at Kansas and transferred out before he ever played a game for the Jayhawks. Once Preston transferred, he signed with a professional team in Bosnia but injured himself.
The Chicago Tribune labeled Preston as a “mystery”. Being a mystery contributed to teams not drafting Preston.
Going undrafted, Cleveland set their sights on Preston and recently signed him to a contract. Preston has an amazing set of skills as he is lanky and can score. He impressed Cleveland fans and the organization during the NBA Summer League when he scored in bunches for the team.
Preston went undrafted and will definitely have a chip on his shoulder. Look for Preston to try and prove 29 other teams wrong and let them know why he should have been drafted.
Preston is the ideal player for the Cavaliers. He is not signed to any big contract and Cleveland is in a low-risk high reward situation.
