Cleveland Browns: 5 bold predictions for the 2018 season
By Ryan Rosko
Josh Gordon‘s impact
Josh Gordon is back for the most part with the Browns as he still has to work through some things. That is the good news. The bad news is no one knows when he will be back and on the field playing.
Furthermore, once he is on the field, the million dollar question is how long will he be on the field this season?
Whenever Gordon is on the field without restrictions, he will instantly benefit Cleveland’s offense. There is no doubting his talent but understandably there are concerns off the field, which he worked on off the field. While Gordon did do what he felt best, there will always be that concern he could fall back to his old ways and jeopardize his availability.
Since entering the NFL, Gordon has only played in a full season once, in 2012. He has not played in double-digit games since 2013. As far 2018 is concerned, Gordon gets back to playing double-digit games but he does not play every single regular season game as he only appears in 12. Under this assumption, Gordon finishes with more than the 50 receptions he got as a rookie in 2012, let’s say 55 for 900 yards.
