Devon Cajuste, TE

Everyone’s new fan favorite, Devon Cajuste is likely on the bubble to make the final roster.

Really, his status depends on how the front office views fellow tight end Seth DeValve, who has missed a lot of practice time because of injury.

DeValve had returned to practice last week for the first time in a long time, but a setback (quad) kept him out of the Bills’ contest.

David Njoku‘s a lock to make the final 53, as is Darren Fells, because the Browns need someone who can block at the position.

DeValve isn’t so great that he should just be given a roster spot, but the Princeton product just can’t get on the field.

DeValve had a decent second year in the pros, catching 33 passes for 395 yards.

Alas, he wasn’t picked by new GM John Dorsey, so you’ve got to wonder how the new regime views having another pass-catching tight end who hasn’t been able to practice on the roster.

Cajuste is trying is hardest to make Dorsey’s decision a tough one. He had the Browns’ longest reception (26 yards) in the recent loss to the Bills. Plus, he plays hard, plays injured (shoulder) and offers versatility because of his ability to play special teams.
