C.J. Board, WR

Catching everything they throw to you. That’s a good way to make a team.

C.J. Board was targeted four times, catching everything to lead the Browns in receiving with 33 yards, including a long of 19 yards.

Four players receivers are considered safe right now, with those players being Jarvis Landry, Josh Gordon, Antonio Callaway and Rashard Higgins. That leaves Jeff Janis, Damion Ratley, Da’Mario Scott, and Board competing for the final two roster spots assuming the Browns keep six wideouts.

Ratley’s stock is way up, as he played some with the first team against the Eagles.

However, there’s still the possibility of Dez Bryant joining the Browns, as reported by NFL Network’s Michael Silver.

If that happens, you’ve all of a sudden got four guys competing for one roster spot.

Not everyone’s going to make the team, but it has been intriguing to watch the less-known receivers passed off the front office’s track record of developing wideouts.

GM John Dorsey‘s right hand men,  Alonzo Highsmith and Eliot Wolf came to Cleveland after making their marks at Green Bay.

The Packers were notorious for unearthing receivers who could be counted on to contribute come game day. Sure, Aaron Rodgers throwing the ball doesn’t hurt, but guys still had to make something of their opportunities.
