Backup OT

Shon Coleman might be in trouble with Greg Robinson seemingly ahead of the former third-round pick for the third offensive tackle spot.

If the Browns are looking to maximize their roster numbers, only one backup offensive tackle will probably make the squad because reserve guard Spencer Drango is capable of filling in at tackle if the need should arise.

The starting line looks like this: Joel Bitonio, LT; Austin Corbett, LG; J.C. Tretter, C; Kevin Zeitler, RG; and Chris Hubbard, RT.

You never know how the reserve unit will look after final cuts there will no dearth of offensive lineman available on the waiver wire.

I just don’t see how Coleman makes the squad.

He went from the starting left tackle to buried on the depth chart on the right side of the line.

I don’t think Robinson has been particularly great either in what we’ve seen in preseason action, but you can understand why the Browns might want to try to tap the potential that made him the No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 draft.
