5 reasons the Cleveland Browns will upset the Pittsburgh Steelers
Browns boast actual playmakers
Hue Jackson won’t put Josh Gordon into the starting lineup, but that just may be semantics. Expect Gordon to play and be a factor, just as he was in last season’s finale against Pittsburgh.
Remember, in that game, Gordon was used in the slot–a strategy that helped burn the Steelers for four catches and 115 yards.
Now, with Jarvis Landry in the fold, new offensive coordinator Todd Haley can get even more creative on offense, and that’s not taking into consideration David Njoku at tight end and a rushing attack featuring Carlos Hyde.
Some pigeon holed Landry as a slot receiver upon his arrival in Cleveland, but look for him to play all over the field in the passing game.
This will also be a huge contest for rookie Antonio Callaway. Save for one great preseason half, Callaway was quiet all throughout camp after his encounter with Strongsville police.
What can we really expect?
The truth is uncertain because we just haven’t seen Gordon, Landry, Callaway and Njoku on the field together.
Usually, it’s the quarterback who elevates the play of those around him, but in this case, the Browns are hoping for a reverse effect.
