1. OSU not even close to their potential

Something the Buckeyes have much improved on this season is their quality of depth. The Buckeyes’ offense has lacked decent experience at skill positions in the last two seasons. This season, they have plenty of quality options to choose from.

Campbell is looking to take on a leadership role in his final season. He has been the most explosive player on the roster for a few seasons now and could have another breakout season. Campbell was relatively quiet against the Beavers as he had just four receptions for 22 yards.

He was able to convert one of those catches for a touchdown though from eight yards out. It may very well be a good thing that he hasn’t broken off a huge game yet because the Buckeyes haven’t needed him to. Campbell will save that for when it’s necessary.

Another player that was relatively quiet in this game was sophomore running back J.K. Dobbins. He still logged a large portion of the touches with 15 carries but didn’t take them very far as he had just 74 total rushing yards.

Dobbins’ running mate Mike Weber stole the game as he went off for 186 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries. This is just another example of a great player on the Buckeyes’ roster that isn’t needed yet but his production will come when the team needs it to count.

Players who are also just warming up are receivers Austin Mack and Johnnie Dixon.

Both of these receivers were productive players last season but it’s already looking like it will be tough for all of these talented guys to get the true production they deserve. It has yet to be decided what the pecking order is for the receivers on this team but so far it looks like Haskins has kept each of them reasonably fed for the most part.

This Buckeyes team is incredible because of how many options they have at so many different positions. Haskins completed passes to ten different receivers last weekend. This includes throwing touchdowns to four different receivers.

To somewhat put that into perspective, the Beavers threw to just five different receivers and only one of them scored. Expect the Buckeyes to continue to spread the wealth as the Scarlet Knights will not be able to account for all that the Buckeyes have to offer.
