Chris Hubbard vs. Cameron Jordan

This is why the Browns brought Chris Hubbard to Cleveland.

The Browns will face Cameron Jordan on in Week 2, a player that totaled 13 sacks last season, and the job of stopping the pass rusher falls squarely on the shoulders of Hubbard.

The first-year Brown needs to be a lot better if the line’s going to have any shot of stopping Jordan.

A lot of attention was paid to Desmond Harrison‘s horrific first half, and rightfully so, but with all eyes cast on the rookie, everyone kind of lost sight of how bad Hubbard was in his Browns’ debut.

Pro Football Focus gave Hubbard a 57.0 grade, which is awful. Hubbard allowed a sack in addition to three pressures on Taylor, as well as two quarterback hurries.

To Hubbard’s credit, the entire Browns’ line stunk in Week 1, with Hubbard, Joel Bitonio and Harrison earning grades starting in the 50s.

As for Harrison, the headline for this vignette could’ve read: Desmond Harrison vs. The SuperDome.

The rookie was called for three false starts in Week 1, and that was at home! Now, Harrison’s going to have to deal with the loud sounds of the Saints’ indoor crowd.
