Carlos Hyde, RB

Baker Mayfield got into the game, and all of a sudden the Cleveland Browns have a rushing attack.

Hyde, on his 28th birthday, rushed 23 times for 98 yards and two touchdowns. He even ripped off a long run of 22 yards.

The ground game was effective and Mayfield had a lot to do with it.

With a quarterback capable of going downfield, not a dinker and dunker like Taylor, things opened up enough near the line of scrimmage for the line to look respectable for Hyde to be a force.

The game gave a much needed to bump to Hyde’s season averages. In victory, he’s now averaging 3.3 yards per carry on the season and he leads the Browns with four touchdowns.

Honorable mention

Denzel Ward had a huge strip of Robby Anderson. The Ohio State product makes a big play every game.

Myles Garrett had two sacks of Sam Darnold, in addition to knocking down a pass.

Terrance Mitchell had the last interception of Darnold, sealing the Browns first victory since 2016.

Antonio Callaway had just four catches for 20 yards, despite being targeted 10 times. However, he should’ve had a 75-yard touchdown catch, but Tyrod Taylor severely underthrew him. His speed and awareness near the sidelines will continue to lead to great things.
