The Cleveland Indians take on the Houston Astros in the  2018 ALDS, with a trip to the American League Championship Series on the line. Here’s five bold predictions.

The Cleveland Indians have selling baseball to the fans of northeast Ohio since 1901, yet have delivered just two World Series championships in 116 completed seasons.

It’s been 70 years since the Tribe last had the honor of calling themselves the World Champs, and reaching baseball’s pinnacles will be no easy task with the defending world champion Houston Astros laying in wait.

The Astros have home-field advantage in this five-game series, having won 103 games, which was the second most in the American League. The Indians won 91 games in what many consider to have been an uneven regular season.

Both squads have been without pressure, as the Indians wrapped up the AL Central back in April and have had the luxury of playing in the worst division in baseball.

The Astros didn’t clinch until Sept. 26, staving off the upstart Oakland A’s, but even then, the team knew there would be some sort of postseason. Houston ended up winning the division by 6.0 games.

Here’s five bold predictions for the Astros and Indians.
