Cleveland Cavaliers will lose a lot more, but they’ll be fun to watch
These Cleveland Cavaliers are going to lose a lot more without LeBron James, but even so, the 2018-2019 squad will be fun to watch.
Playing for championships can be an exhilarating feeling. As fans, we were in awe of the things that our Cleveland Cavaliers accomplished, especially the title they brought home to The Land back in 2016.
But with all the success, there came a lot of stress. The last two seasons were met with a disappointing ending and an increased hatred of the Golden State Warriors. Cleveland was the underdog for three of the four years, in my opinion, they were evenly matched with Golden State in the first matchup.
With LeBron James now gone, the team seems more relaxed. Some of the pieces from last season stayed but there was definitely an exodus of some players, Jeff Green checked out, Jae Crowder is gone and as you know a lot of the players on October 17, 2017, have been gone since the deadline last season.

Cleveland now totes the duo of Kevin Love and Cedi Osman and they seem energetic. We haven’t had this style of Cavs basketball since Kyrie’s rookie season.
There’s no pressure for Cleveland in the slightest and many argue that they’d be lucky to scrape past 40 wins this season. ESPN lists that the Cavs worst case scenario is 23 wins. Many fans believe that Cleveland should tank for a good draft pick due to the loaded draft class coming up.
Tanking is something that the Cavaliers have done this decade whether it was on purpose or not is up for debate. Cleveland’s tanking has yielded them Andrew Wiggins and Dion Waiters. Cleveland hasn’t done the best drafting in recent years while James is elsewhere.
Cedi Osman has captured the love of fans in Cleveland and for good reason. The 23-year-old has a love for the game that not many have and it’s been infectious. James mentioned just how much talent the rookie had.
Collin Sexton is a fun player to watch but it remains to be seen how much of an impact he’ll make for the Cavs this season. Coach Lue played the rookie under 20 minutes in the season opener. Sexton brings forth a lot of effort and gives 100 percent while on the court, not something common for rookies.
One of the best things about this season will be the stress-free summer we have. Almost every summer the question was “Will LeBron stay? Will he go?” but with James gone, there are no questions. Our superstar Kevin Love is here to stay for a long time and he signed a multi-year contract.
With Kevin Love here to stay and the young players learning at a nice slow pace, this season has the chance to be a fun one. There’s a small chance for a playoff spot but the team will still compete on a regular basis, hopefully.
