Jabrill Peppers had a really good looking fourth-quarter punt return, which went for 32 yards. On the next play, Mayfield connected with Jarvis Landry for a 16-yard touchdown.

With that spectacular play in his head, you know he was trying to do much in overtime when he coughed up the ball in overtime.

The miscue set up Tampa’s eventual and improbable game winning field goal.

You hate to crack a guy for trying to make a play in that situation, but the stakes are too high. You either make the play, or you don’t, but you better for dang certain hold onto the ball.

Peppers took full responsibility for the play after the game, but it’s not like he had a choice.

It was refreshing to see him return one for a nice chunk of yardage earlier in the game, because the return game is thought to be non-existent.

Peppers has 146 punt returns yards this season season on just 15 attempts. He had 180 yards on 30 attempts during the 2017 campaign. Improvement is there, but there are still aspects of the return game that need polished up.
