1. T.Y. Hilton

It was just one year ago that the Indianapolis Colts were ready and willing to deal wideout T.Y. Hilton.

John Dorsey should call to see if the Colts still feel that way.

Hilton solves the Browns’ needs in that he can over the top, stretching the field, opening the middle for Jarvis Landry and/or David Njoku.

Pro Football Focus looked at trades the analytics oriented website would like to see happy, and suggested Hilton to the Washington Redskins for a second-round pick would be an ideal match.

If that’s truly the price tag for someone of Hilton’s stature, Dorsey should make this trade. Yesterday!

Adding Hilton for a second-round selection would make a whole heck-of-a-lot more since than coughing up a first-rounder for Amari Cooper–a player the Browns were correct in not paying the price for.

Hilton was due $13 million this season, and would be under the Browns’ control through the 2020 campaign.  He’d make $30 million combined in the last two years of his deal.

This trade makes since for the Browns. They’re getting a superb wideout and don’t have to really invest all that much to get him.

Will the Colts part with him, though? There was a lot more trade talk of dealing Hilton last year while Andrew Luck was out injured. Trade talk has been pretty quiet this year, but so what? It’s the trades you don’t hear rumored that actually come to fruition.
