Six coaches who should be serious candidates to be the next coach of the Cleveland Browns, following the firing of Hue Jackson.

The Cleveland Browns will be looking for another head coach following the news that Hue Jackson was fired as the franchise’s head coach.

With rules favoring the offense more than ever, putting together an offensive juggernaut is imperative these days in the NFL.

That’s especially important when your franchise as its franchise quarterback of the future already in place.

The organization must be lock-step in developing Baker Mayfield, and based off the rumors of infighting between Hue Jackson and Todd Haley, more harm was being done than good.

As for firing Jackson, the change was inevitable. The move probably should’ve been at the end of last season. The Browns had a new GM. Were about to draft a new franchise quarterback. A new coach should’ve been a clean slate.

Instead, Hue’s 1-31 record hung its head over Browns’ headquarters in lovely Berea. And while the Browns broke their winless streak, the culture of losing still kept its ugly head around.

The Browns are one road loss away from setting the NFL record in road futility. They’ve lost 24 in a row. One more and they’ll tie the 2008-2010 Detroit Lions.

And there that whole winning streak thing. Cleveland hasn’t won back-to-back games since 2014.

Here’s six coaches who should be considered as candidates to be the next permanent coach of the Cleveland Browns.
