5. Jay Wright, Villanova

If there were one college coach to take a gamble on, Jay Wright would be atop most people’s lists.

He’s won two NCAA championship as Villanova and his offense would translate into today’s NBA because it spaces the floor.

Rumblings about Wright moving to the NBA aren’t new, and it may be hard to pry him away. After winning his second national title with Villanova, Wright made it known that he loves his job and wasn’t leaving the Catholic school.

Wright isn’t taking this job now, which OK, because the Cavs’ don’t look prepared to offer it.

It’d take a lot of money to pry him out of his comfort zone, but depending on the season goes, Cleveland could be an attractive job by June.

If the Cavs end up with a top 10 pick, the organization its to keep its first-round selection this season. If not, the Hawks get the pick, which completes the Kyle Korver trade.

Obviously, Wright would want to wait and see what happens.

From a Cavs’ standpoint, a top 10 pick is attainable. Heck, the first pick is a real possibility now that Lue’s been fired and Kevin Love is hurt.

Next year, a coach could walk into the locker room and have Collin Sexton, Kevin Love and the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

There are worse situations to walk into, but would Wright, 56, be up to the challenge?
