Cleveland Browns: 5 reasons Baker Mayfield wins third straight at Texans
1. Texans looking at a letdown
The Houston Texans are coming off an emotional week in which their owner, Bob McNair died.
The loss galvanized the team, who went on to whoop the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football.
The Browns weren’t playing in that game, but the franchise may certainly feel the fallout.
Tennessee dropped to 5-6, which helps if the Browns do the unthinkable, win out, and compete for the playoffs.
As for the Texans, well, the organization may be in for an emotional let down with the Browns on the schedule.
From Houston’s perspective, the Texans did what they had to do Monday, playing an excellent game in the honor of McNair.
Houston’s now won eight in a row and is looking for a first-round bye in the playoffs, but now confronted with a short week, in addition to the emotional fallout of McNair’s passing, Cleveland may be able to sneak into the Lone Star state and steal a win.
This of course, factors in the play of the Browns, who are playing their best football game of the season.
