4. Hands of Chubb

Nick Chubb would be giving Saquon Barkley a run for his money as Rookie of the Year, if Baker Mayfield wasn’t running away with the award.

Chubb, the 35th overall selection in last spring’s draft, is looking like one of the best value picks.

He’s graded as PFF’s highest grade back through the first 12 weeks of the season.

It was known he could run the ball, but there was some question as to whether he can catch the ball out of the backfield.

Welp, just ask the Cincinnati Bengals.

He can, and owns the Browns’ best catch of the year.

Chubb’s ability to catch the ball out of the backfield obviously makes the Browns a bigger offensive threat and the Browns are going to need that versatility against a Texans team featuring uber defender J.J. Watt.

The Texans are ranked seventh in defending the run, but Chubb certainly has the breakaway speed to leave Houston reeling.

It also helps the Browns are clicking on all cylinders, offensively. Houston can’t simply zero in on stopping one aspect of the offense.

As previously noted, there’s Mayfield to worry about, multiple receivers, David Njoku and then Chubb’s ability to hurt you by ground and by air.

If the Browns pull out their second road victory of the season, Chubb will undoubtedly play a big role.
