Cleveland Browns: 10 free agents Browns should target in 2019
With the Cleveland Browns being picked to make the playoffs in 2019, the team should target these 10 free agents to help get over the hump.
The Cleveland Browns enter free agency in a familiar position, with a ton of cap space.
The team is expected to have more than $75 million in cap space for 2019, which is the third highest total in the NFL, according to Sportrac.

The team will likely make some signings, but don’t count on general manager John Dorsey treating the Dawg Pound to Christmas in March.

The Browns must be wise in how they spend their dollars because now that they’ve got some good players, the organization will have to start thinking about long-term plans.
First up will be Myles Garrett. He’s going into his third year and if things keep going the way they are, the former No. 1 pick will be in line to sign a huge contract extension following the 2019 season.
After the 2020 season, the Browns will need to start pitching Baker Mayfield and Denzel Ward on extensions.
And franchise quarterbacks and cornerbacks don’t exactly come cheap.
With that said, the Browns are in an advantageous position right now, because they do have some money to spend with Mayfield currently on his rookie contract.
Look no further than what the Rams are doing: Jared Goff is in year three, on his rookie deal, and Los Angles is in the Super Bowl.
When playing the free-agent wish list game, be mindful on whether or not teams place a franchise tag on a player.
This means the DeMarcus Lawrence’s and the Jadeveon Clowney‘s of the world aren’t even likely to hit the open market.
