2019 NFL Draft: 5 WRs Cleveland Browns must target after 1st round
3. Riley Ridley, UGA
Riley Ridley is probably leaving the college game too soon, but his decision to enter the NFL Draft this spring could be advantageious for the Browns.
With one more season under his belt, Ridley possesses the ability needed to become a first-round pick in 2020.
But since he’s coming out early, he’s more likely to be a day-two candidate.
Considering there is only one slam-dunk receiver candidate to go in the first round, Ridley would be the worth the third round pick, and maybe even a second.
Remember how Antonio Callaway looked so polished showing sideline awareness in rookie camp?
Ridley, the brother of Calvin Ridley, is capable of doing the same thing.
Ridley had just 44 catches for 570 yards and nine touchdowns last season, but remember that Georgia operated out an offfense based heavily around the run.
One thing that stands out instantly is Ridley’s size. He’s listed as 6-foot-2, 200 pounds. Those measurables arn’t far off of Josh Gordon.
Charlie Campbell, of WalterFootball.com, wrote he’s heard scouts view Ridley as being a day two pick.
