The Cleveland Browns don’t pick until the second round in the 2019 NFL Draft, but when they go on the clock, these five players are worth taking.

For the first time since 2008, fans of the Cleveland Browns don’t have a first-round pick to obsess over, and that’s just fine by me.

The Browns flipped the No. 17 overall selection for Odell Beckham Jr. which is a steal, if you believe what NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein recently said. The longtime scribe appeared on a podcast recently and basically said the Browns considered the 17th overall pick to possess a second-round value, via Dawg Pound Daily.

With receiver being a huge position of need, the Browns just weren’t going to do better than acquiring one of the NFL’s top 10 players, who just so happens to be entering his prime.

But just because the Browns won’t have a first-round selection, doesn’t mean card carrying members of the Dawg Pound should forget about the draft. Sure, the projections get harder when your first pick comes at 49, but as Browns fans, it is our cross to bare.

Ultimately, it will be interesting to see which direction general manager John Dorsey goes in the draft. He upgraded so many positions of need by adding help at wideout, defensive tackle, EDGE and tight end.

The NFL Draft runs from April 25-27. Cleveland should consider adding these five players in the second round, when they pick 49th overall.
