2019 Cleveland Browns schedules: Predicting wins, losses, reaction
Weeks 13-17
Week 13: Dec. 1, @ Steelers, 4:25 p.m., CBS: An unusual Steelers sandwich with Dolphin as the meat. Pittsburgh lost some key players, but Ben Roethlisberger is still there. Pittsburgh will likely be vying for a playoff berth and defend their home field.
Prediction: L (8-4)
Week 14: Dec. 8, Bengals, 1 p.m., CBS: Writing this today, the Bengals should be healthier than they were the last time they came to Cleveland. New coach Zac Taylor should have Andy Dalton and A.J. Green at his disposal. Even if he does, the Browns are just better.
Prediction: W (9-4)
Week 15: Dec. 15, @ Cardinals, 4:05 p.m., CBS: It’s not a primetime game, but it’s still a pretty prominent time slot. New Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury wouldn’t give Baker Mayfield a scholarship at Texas Tech. Kyler Murray, the guy who took Baker’s place at Oklahoma could be quarterbacking. Baker with a chip on his shoulder? An easy win for the Browns.
Prediction: W (10-4)
Week 16: Dec. 22, Ravens, 1 p.m., CBS: You’ve got to wonder if Lamar Jackson will be healthy for this one. I think he’s going to succumb to the hits, but I hope he proves me wrong because he and Mayfield will make for a fun rivalry. The Browns defend one of their only losses of the season with a victory at home.
Prediction: W (11-4)
Week 17: Dec. 29, @ Bengals, 1 p.m., CBS: By this time of year, the Bengals will be so far out of the playoffs that Cincinnati will basically become Cleveland South.
Prediction: W (12-4)
