Mini camp should have NFL teams asking one question about rookie cornerback Greedy Williams. How in the heck did this guy fall into the second round of last spring’s NFL Draft?

OK, so offseason OTAs and mini camp are basically flag football sessions. With that said, Williams impressed with his speed and footwork, jumping Odell Beckham Jr. on this route and almost coming up with the interception.

Williams used the offseason workouts to show that he will contend for a starting spot opposite No. 1 corner Denzel Ward.

As mentioned with Whitehead, with the NFL someone becoming even more pass happy, even if Williams doesn’t win the No. 2 starting corner spot, the LSU product will play plenty. It’s just not uncommon anymore for teams to come out on first down in a three-receiver set.

Coach Freddie Kitchens keeps taking up his team’s defense, and the praise mostly gets ignored by the press because of all the fireworks on defense, but you can see why the first-year head coach is excited.

While depth on the defensive line is lacking, the Browns field four STUD starters. The secondary might be the strongest part of the defensive unit. And while the linebacking corps is usually an afterthought, perhaps Sione Takitaki can strengthen the unit.
