4. Damion Ratley, WR

Second-year veteran Damion Ratley is an under-the-radar player to watch, but he’s also veteran on the bubble simply because the Browns are loaded at receiver.

It’s reasonable to believe Cleveland’s going to keep six wide receivers. OBJ, Jarvis Landry, Antonio Callaway and Ricardo Higgins have jobs locked up. That leaves two roster spots up for grabs.

It shouldn’t be forgotten that the Browns brought in receiver Jaelan Strong to add depth to the receiving corps. Strong missed last season with an ACL injury, but caught 31 passes in 20 games between 2015-17.

Other players competing for the job include Ishamel Hyman, an undrafted rookie out of James Madison, as well as Derrick Willies. Willies flashed some chemistry with Baker Mayfield before an injury cut short his season in Week 3.

The Browns also have to consider Special Teams, which conjures up the name of junior college returner sensation Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi. Is he good enough to warrant keeping on the roster as a sixth receiver/returner?

Ratley is an underdog you root for and appeared in 13 games last year, catching 13 passes for 144 yards.

As is the case with DeValve, the Browns are better now and making this roster is going to be more challenging.
