Players 41-45

41. Sheldrick Redwine: With Damarious Randall seemingly searching for a pot of gold at the end of the free agency rainbow, could Redwine be the Browns’ safety of the future?

42. Brian Price: Rotational piece on the defensive line, who will be competing for a roster spot. Browns claimed him off waivers from the Cowboys last September. Started his NFL career with the Packers in 2016, so he has ties to Wolf and Highsmith.

43. Drew Forbes: A sixth-round pick from last April’s draft. The left guard was revealed to be Sports Ilustrated’s “Prospect X,” meaning he was the most overlooked draft prospect among this year’s class. Longshot, but might be able to get into the competition at right guard. The 6-foot-5, 305-pounder was a sixth-round pick, who is listed as a tackle after playing his college ball Southeast Missouri.

44. Drew Stanton: If Mayfield goes down, this veteran is the next man up. Can he win the Browns a game or two? Sure. But what if he’s needed for a six-week stretch? Hopefully, that’s not the case and Baker stays healthy. In a separate issue, what Stanton offered Mayfield in terms of veteran guidance shouldn’t be overlooked.

45. Austin Seibert: He never had to attempt extra-long field goals in college because his team, the Oklahoma Sooners, was too busy scoring touchdown. He was good enough to warrant a draft pick and he’ll be given a chance to knock off the incumbent Joseph. Seibert’s going to have to earn it though.
