Players 26-30

26. T.J. Carrie: PFF’s 57th rated corner in 2018. Carrie had two forced fumbles and an interception while contributing to the Browns’ defensive takeaway machine.

27. Austin Corbett: The first pick of 2018’s second round should be higher on this list, but after a mini camp in which he was being regularly replaced by a guy the Browns picked up off the street at the end of last season, St. Edward product Kyle Kalis, you’ve got to wonder what his future holds.

Based off minicamp, Kalis, at the very least, is going to be given a chance to win right-guard vacancy. I think…I mean, I hope, Corbett wins it, but the Browns just aren’t going to give him the job.

28. Jermaine Whitehead: One of the Browns’ five big offseason workout winners, Whitehead got a lot of looks when the Browns deployed three safeties to along with two linebackers in minicamp.   Played previously for the Packers, establishing a connection with assistant GM Elliot Wolf and top personnel executive Alonzo Highsmith.

29. Chris Smith: This defensible lineman poses more of a problem for offensive lines bringing pressure from the inside. If placed on the outside, he appears to just be a body.

30. Duke Johnson: If there’s anything to be learned from the recent report of Kareem Hunt talking to police in downtown Cleveland, it’s that you can’t trade Johnson just yet.
