Cleveland Browns: 5 Browns who need great games vs Colts
Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi
Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi is the guy everyone is rooting for. With some talk that the man who was sleeping on the street not that long ago to the preseason’s biggest star, so far, he may not have a roster spot locked up right now.
However, with another big return, especially against first or second teasers, the Browns will have a tough time leaving him off the roster.
Sheehy-Guiseppi was third at punt returner on the Browns’ unofficial depth chart, which is egregious, but while talking about the depth chart in a matter unrelated to punt returns, coach Freddie Kitchens said there are no depth charts at this point.
The depth charts are put together by the team’s PR arm, in an effort to give the media something to work off of for the game.
This is brought up to suggest Sheehy may get a shot to show out up against some upper-level talent.
Would also be interesting to get in the game and make plays at wide receiver late in the game. Sheehy dropped a pass in the end zone during the second joint practice against the Colts.
The Browns should be willing to keep him as a “seventh” receiver if he truly is the real deal at punt returner. To potentially impact the game the way he’s capable of is too valuable and the Browns can’t ignore that when constructing the final roster.
