3. Mack Wilson, LB

Mack Wilson‘s stop down, but hopefully its like Apple–down for a second but back up to where it normally is with the blink of an eye.

The rookie was singled out by coach Freddie Kitchens during the Colts first touchdown drive. Kitchens was really hot about three missed tackles before he got a chance to say something to Wilson as the rookie came across the sideline.

It wasn’t all bad for Wilson. He continued to show the nose for the ball that has most members of the Dawg Pound ready to elevate him into a starter. He also assisted on this takedown behind the line of scrimmage, which came just minutes before the Colts’ touchdown that got Freddie all hot and bothered.

From the first watch, it looked like Wilson was struggling with fundamentals, which is OK. He’s a rookie. He won’t be the last rook to make a mistake and he sure won’t be the last.

Joe Schobert and Christian Kirksey did start this game at linebacker, and I really can’t tell you how they did because they’re not guys you notice.

That isn’t true of Wilson. Yeah, this time he got noticed for some bad, but when he does something good, BAM. It can be game altering.
