3. Derrick Willies

The bottom of the depth chart at the wide receiver position is coming down to the wire.

With the Browns likely keeping six wide receivers, Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry and Rashard Higgins are locks. Here’s how the final spots play out:

1. Jaelan Strong: Took Strong awhile to get going, but you can see why Dorsey brought in the former third-round pick. He is safe right now.

2. Derrick Willies: Willies was getting starting reps until the second preseason games, and even then, he still appeared with the first special teams unit. No one fighting for one of the last spots has his size.

3. D.J. Montgomery: Montgomery took over for Willies, getting time with the 1’s in the Colts’ contest. He had the most productive day of any of the Browns receiver.

4. Damion Ratley: The second-year veteran has only been through one full-speed practice, but he’s a former draft pick of Dorsey from a season ago.

Prediction: Antonio Callaway is suspended for the first four games, so Cleveland could always just keep five widouts until he returns. I’m going to go with six guys here, though.

OBJ, Landry, Higgins, Strong, Ratley and Willies will make up the room, with Willies edging out Montgomery for the final spot.
