Cleveland Browns: 5 players whose stock is up after Buccaneers loss
4. Devaroe Lawrence
Entering camp, depth on the defensive line was a major concern for the Cleveland Browns. Sure, the front four is stacked, but after that…well the Browns trying to acquire Gerald McCoy tells you everything you need to know.
The Browns are probably going to keep eight or nine defensive lineman and Devaroe Lawrence is definitely in, especially after his two-sack effort agains the Buccaneers Friday night.
Lawrence is listed at 6-2, 295 pound. He looks even bigger than that, especially when he seems to moving offensive linemen with ease.
The Browns are going to have questions to answer at defensive tackle, especially with Daniel Ekuale and Trevon Coley competing for a roster spot.
Coley looks like he might be the weakest link. He was a starter last year, and his play was so concerning that finding someone better who could start at defensive tackle became a priority. That player became Sheldon Richardson, who will play along side Larry Ogunjhobi on the defensive interior.
A stellar outing from Lawrence, who will definitely be picked up elsewhere if the Browns surprise and let him go.
