Ohio State football: 5 Buckeyes who will be early-round NFL Draft picks in 2020
By Mike Graham
5. J.K. Dobbins, RB
J.K. Dobbins is the first offensive player on the list, he possesses excellent receiving skills to go with his condensed 5-foot-9, 217-pound frame.
With Mike Weber now in Dallas, Dobbins won’t have to share the spotlight. Rather, the onus will be on Dobbins to produce.
In two seasons , Dobbins has rushed for almost 2,500 while accumulating almost 400 yards through the air.
That combination is what’s required to go early. Just look at the Cleveland Browns. Both Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt possess playmaking abilities out of the backfield on the ground and through the air.
Even though he’s entering his junior season and is considered a “name” the feel among some fans is that he’s a little underrated. A lot of that has to do with Dobbins not being a “Bell Cow” type back.
He burst onto the scene as a freshman, but then his workload was scaled back spring the load with Weber.
He is an explosive athlete who will test well at the combine, and looks to be drafted in the top-four rounds next season.
