Cleveland Browns: 5 reasons Browns will score Week 1 win vs Titans
5. Chubb on the run
Nick Chubb may prove to be the franchise’s greatest contribution to fantasy football.
The second-year back is capable of ripping off a 65-yard touchdown run, or taking a screen for a sizable gain.
Against the Titans, Chubb will face a squad that allowed 116.4 rushing yards per game a season ago. Tennessee seems poised to run over, because as previously mentioned, the Browns’ line is going to catch a break against the Titans defensive front.
The strength of Tennesee’s defensive is its secondary, so Chubb is going to get his opportunities to soften up the unit.
The Browns’ passing game gets all the hype and it’s understandable. That’s where all the star power can be found.
That in mind, first year head coach put a HEAVY emphasis on running the ball during Training Camp. This isn’t a surprise, as he was the running backs coach a season ago before being elevated to offensive coordinator.
The coach is well aware of the damage his receiving corps is capable of inflicting, but at the same time, Kitchens knows that to win, you’ve got to run, and he’s got a great back in Chubb.
