4. A trade on the O-Line

Protecting Baker Mayfield becomes a major concern and general manager John Dorsey heads to the trading block to strengthen the trenches.

There are offensive-line trade targets available, but Miami is looking more and more like a good partner as the Dolphins look poised to contend for the first pick in next year’s draft.

If Dorsey can acquire someone like Laremy Tunsil, he’ll have a new left tackle, filling the void created by the retirement of Joe Thomas. Current left tackle Greg Robinson slides over to the right side.

There wasn’t much to go by based off the preseason because Mayfield played so little, but if the Tampa Bay game revealed anything, it’s that Mayfield may be susceptible to pressure. His receivers dropped some catchable passes, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that he was uncharacteristically inaccurate while the offensive line stunk.

The right guard position will be worth watching as the position still seems unsettled heading into Week 1. Erick Kush gets the start for now, while Austin Corbett has been relegated to the bench.

Dorsey made some deals at the end of the preseason to bolster the unit’s depth, but the offensive line remains a huge weakness.
