1. Home-field advantage will be too much for the Bearcats to overcome

A sad reality about college football and sports in general has been the unequal circumstances. It’s clear to see this advantage to one side in every game. The fact is that no matter how even the two foes are, there will be one side that will get to play on their field in front of their own fans in a match up on a given year.

This is unfortunate as one team may be finally hitting their stride in that year but they have to travel to that difficult opponent’s house in order to compete. If they fail to win, then maybe all their players leave and the match up changes in the next season. At least the team in question will have home field advantage in the next match up though, right?

The Bearcats have never beaten the Buckeyes in Columbus. In fact, the two wins the Bearcats do have over the Buckeyes are in Cincinnati. However, the Buckeyes have won five out of the seven games that were played in Cincinnati. The most recent game played in the Bearcats’ house was won by the Buckeyes by a mere four points.

The Buckeyes are currently on an 11-game win streak over the Bearcats. This is not to say that the Bearcats would be at that much more of an advantage if they were at home but it would certainly help. The Bearcats technically have advantages in head coach experience as well as quarterback experience but their talent isn’t up to par with the Buckeyes.

There is a chance the Bearcats come out with some fire and confidence in this game but that may not be enough to hold onto the game long in Ohio Stadium. Expect the Buckeyes to come away with yet another home victory as they outlast the Bearcats.
