Five Cleveland Browns whose stock is down following a 43-13 thrashing at the hands of the Tennessee Titans in Week 1 at FirstEnergy Stadium.
A crime was committed in FirstEnergy Stadium, and about 70,000 had to witness the Tennessee Titans dismantle the Cleveland Browns in Week 1.
Thirty points. That’s the difference between the Titans, who went 9-7 a a season ago, and the Browns, who *were* supposed to contend for a spot in the Super Bowl the season.
This year’s opener was supposed to serve as a coronation for the Browns, that the long beaten-down franchise was finally on considered to be on the up.. Instead, the Browns were blown out as their franchise quarterback suffered some scary looking hits.
Fans have every right to be upset, as this one falls squarely on the shoulders of the Freddie Kitchens (more on the later). And while it was as bad as it gets, take solace in knowing the Browns will probably be better against the Jets on Monday Night Football in Week 2.
For as much as the Browns went full-blown Browns, it’s hard to commit 18 penalties in a game. It’s expected things should be cleaned up by the time the Browns get to Jersey.
