Cleveland Browns: 5 Browns whose stock is down after Titans debacle
5. Austin Seibert
It’s just a coincidence that the wheels started to fall off the wagon following Austin Seibert’s missed point after attempt following the Browns’ first touchdown drive.
But in missing the kick wide right, Seibert reminded us all that every kick is a 50-50 shot in the dark until he starts stringing four or five kicks together without a miss.
Seibert only had one other attempt on the day, a point after following David Njoku‘s second-half touchdown. The fans let out an astounding bronx cheer to let Seibert know what they thought.
On the opposite side of the field, the Titans trotted out Cairo Santos, who was just signed a few days ago after Tennessee was forced to put Ryan Succop on Injured Reserve.
The Factory tried to stir up some trade chatter surrounding Santos back when the Browns played the Buccaneers in preseason Week 3. Seibert was a perfect 4-of-4 on field goals that day and the Browns used the effort to basically give the unproven rookie the job.
While Seibert was missing PATs in Week 1, Santos was busy knocking down a 52 yarder when the game was still hanging in the balance.
