Odell Beckham Jr. reminded Cleveland Browns’ fans why everyone got so excited by his acquisition. The one handed catch he made on the sideline in his return to MetLife Stadium was one of the best you’ll ever see. Period.

Of course, Odell got himself taken off the field for a key 3rd down play because he wore an illegal visor, a decision that will give ammo to the national pundits who are already taking shots at the receiver.

Beckham wasn’t done though, as he took a short slant on a Run-Pass Option from Baker Mayfield to the house for an 89-yard touchdown. The Mayfield-Beckham connection was the fourth-longest pass play in Browns history, and the longest since Brandon Weeden hooked up with Josh Gordon on a 95-yard pass Dec. 1, 2013.

On the play, Beckham’s speed reached 21.70 miles per hour. It was spectacular to watch the Jet defenders, great athletes in their own right, fail to gain ground on the elite wideout. Beckham’s speed was the third fastest speed reach by a ball carrier this season, according to the NFL.

Overall, the Browns offense was clunky and inefficient, however, Beckham showed how quickly a game can change when he gets the ball.
