3. Greedy Williams

Greedy Williams has been the Browns best corner in the first two weeks of the season and I don’t think there’s an argument.

Williams  was strong in coverage and near the ball on a number of forced incompletions.

Additionally, that knock on him not being able to tackle? It looks ridiculous now, as I’m sure if the 2019 draft had to re-picked, Williams would be a first-round selection.

Williams, along with Joe Schobert, had a key stuff of Le’Veon Ball on a 4th and 2 play late in the third quarter with the Jets in the Red Zone.

Williams’ rise comes as Denzel Ward descends. He allowed another big reception on defense and he’s being heavily criticized for his inability to tackle.

Fortunately, the Browns were playing the Jets and their third string quarterback, Luke Falk. That won’t be the case in Week 3, when Sean McVay, Jared Goff and the Rams high-octane offense roll into FirstEnergy Stadium for Sunday Night Football.

With Brandin Cooks and Robert Woods as Goff’s targets, Williams has to stay strong, while Ward has to be flat out better.
