1. Nick Chubb

Hopefully Nick Chubb starts to open Freddie Kitchens’ eyes as to what the rushing attack should look like. After all, Kitchens was the running backs coach at this time last season, and he made it a point to use Chubb after he was given play calling duties.

Chubb had 23 carries for 96 yards while adding four catches for 35 yards out of the backfield.

The 35th pick in the 2018 draft has been the most consistent cog in the Browns’ armory, as the clunky offense continues to raise questions over the uneven passing attack led by Kitchens and Baker Mayfield.

Chubb was on the field for all but two of the Browns’ offensive snaps. Entering Week 3, he had been on the gridiron for about 70 percent time of the time in Week 1, and about 60 percent of the time against the Jets last Monday.

While his usage increased, hopefully Kitchens remembers to use him inside the 5-yard line next time around. Things get tight when you get down to the end zone, and Baker Mayfield didn’t haven’t a ton of spacing to work with when trying to find open receivers toward the end of the game.

Chubb has only one carry inside the 5-yard line. Needless to say, as the feature running back, that needs to change.

Entering Week 4, the second-year veteran is seventh in the NFL with 233 yards. Dalvin Cook leads the league with 375 yards.
