3. T.J. Carrie

T.J. Carrie not only led the team in tackles, but he was credited with two passes defensed, in addition to picking off Jared Goff on a stellar diving catch to come up with an interception with 3:38 to play in the third quarter.

Carrie beat Brandin Cooks to the ball to come up with the pick, coming up with the ball just millimeters from the ground.

Tackling isn’t something usually you want to see corners do because it means they’re giving up catches, however, Carrie was excellent on the edge, especially in helping seal up Todd Gurley.

The Ohio U product also had that huge pass break up of Jared Goff on 3rd and 1 late in the third quarter.

Carrie was pressed into duty as injuries ravaged Cleveland’s starting secondary. With both Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams battling hamstring injuries, Carrie, along with teammate Terrance Mitchell were lauded for their valiant efforts against one of the best aerial attacking teams in the league

You can never have enough corners, and the injuries to Browns’ starters is the prime reason why. To have capable players show out by making plays, is obviously invaluable.
