5. Secondary still good enough

Jackson and the Ravens will run, but Jackson will need to come up with some throws to win this game. That’s ultimately the way it works in the NFL.

And fortunately for the Browns, their secondary should continue to hold up in lieu of recent hamstring injuries to Denzel Ward, Greedy Williams and Sheldrick Redwine.

Terrance Mitchell and T.J. Carrie stepped up big time on Sunday Night Football. It was thought Mitchell would be the starter heading into the season until the season opened and it was Williams on the field.

Mitchell, in particularly, flashed against the rushing attack too, coming up with two tackles for a loss. When the Rams tried to kick a play outside to escape Cleveland’s front four, Money Mitchell was there to make the play.

Ideally, the Browns’ secondary will help the line come up with some coverage sacks. The Ravens will call plenty of run-pass-option plays. If Jackson decides to pass and that first option isn’t there, Myles Garrett and the line should be in a position to start adding pressure. Of course, this is where Jackson will look to take off on the ground, though.

Still too early in the week to know for sure what the future holds for the injuries to Ward and Williams, but the secondary is in good shape, especially against an inconsistent passer like Jackson.
