Five players on the Cleveland Browns whose stock actually managed to go up following another loss, this time at the hands of the Patriots.

The Cleveland Browns debacle of a loss was a frustrating as it’s going to get for Dawg Pound members to follow, but if you looked hard enough, there was some good as the organization perpetually builds for the future.

The hardest pill to swallow at Gillette Stadium was that the Patriots were not playing at a Super Bowl level. Bell Belichick’s squad looked poised to be upset, but the Browns eagerness to shoot themselves in the football cast aside any  hopes of an upset.

As the game digests, it’s also been hard to watch the Browns be a national joke, again, with Freddie Kitchens decision to take a penalty on 4th and 11, only to go for it on 4th and 16. A play in which Baker Mayfield got sacked for the fifth and final time of the debacle.

The Browns are supposed to get back on track in the month of November, with a soft schedule awaiting. I’m not so sure. Denver’s defense is really, really good and Cleveland’s offense stinks.

The Bills await in Week 9. Again, that’s a very good defense and well coached team, which the Browns are not. The Steelers are on the docket in Week 10 for a Thursday night affair. With zero confidence in a Freddie Kitchens coached team, I’m circling that game as Freddie’s last stand.

Welp, there you go. How about some good news?

Plenty of Browns saw their stocks go down in this weak effort, but there was some good. These five Browns stocks manged to go up in what was a disaster of day in New England.
